Several months ago, a husband and wife team set out to open our first online children’s boutique – without much more than a dream and a little bit of vision. While we believed we had the business acumen to create something totally unique, we knew from the start that we were going to need to find a web designer with the creativity and skill set to match. After several weeks of “doing our homework”, we chose Cathy to make our dream a reality. Considering our online home was the one and only place for us to showcase our style, we knew it had to be perfect. Cathy more than nailed it, and has been an incredible resource in helping us get going.

We’re still not sure how she does it, but Cathy has the uncanny ability to turn a list of questions and answers into a creative masterpiece that is simply amazing. She challenged us to think outside of the box at times, and always considered the end goal in all of her suggestions. Not only does Cathy understand the technical and creative side to web design, but she also helped us tremendously with everything from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tips & tricks to “best practice” shipping recommendations to ideas on how best to organize various products and options to choosing an incredible host for a boutique of this nature.

As with any new business, and more importantly with any new small business, budget is a key concern. Cathy’s pricing is more than competitive compared to the other designers we interviewed, and probably best of all is the fact that Cathy sticks to her quote for the predefined scope of work – even if things don’t always work out exactly as planned. This may not seem too important in the beginning, but what you will usually find is a promise to deliver something only to find out you’re getting nickled and dimed for every little change, feature, etc. Granted, Cathy is obviously in this to make a living, but she went above and beyond on our project to make sure we were happy – a very intangible attribute that not everyone possesses.

In closing, we don’t believe we could have made a better decision in choosing to partner with Cathy to turn our dream in to a reality – from a creative/technical standpoint as well as a financial standpoint. A day doesn’t go by where someone doesn’t comment on the professionalism of our site, or say something to the effect that they would expect a site like ours to be owned by some large company with an unlimited budget – we are not, and do not! It is evident that Cathy truly cares about her customers and about the success of their business long-term, both during the design stage and after the launch. Cathy’s services don’t end once you go-live, but your relationship will likely take a different path (as ours did) as you start to think about what you would like to do next – either way, Cathy will be there to support you!

When I first saw the site for the first time, my mouth dropped, and I just was at a total loss for words except “oh my gosh”. I must of said that about 10 times.
