Favicon: short for Favorites Icon.  It is a very small 16 x16 pixel icon displayed on your address bar and favorites menu.  Usually your favicon goes with the theme of your website or logo.  Here's mine - favicon, a cute cupcake with colors that match my design .  If you can't see it and are using IE, IE is a bit fussy but try adding me to your favorites and refresh... you should be all set!

3 reasons you need a favicon

  • helps establish and assert your identity customizing your look in the visitors browser.
