• Be accurate in your postings. This goes for posting anywhere, not just your blog. Inaccurate postings could hurt people. Correct errors quickly.
  
• Give due credit.Keep your content original. Do not reproduce another persons work without permission. When referring to anothers post, use the permalink to link back to the exact article url, versus the front page of the blog where the article may no longer be listed. If available, use the trackback link so the blog owner knows you are buzzing about them.
• Ask permission to use images and save to your server, do not hot link.
• A few things about posting comments on other peoples blogs-make sure your post is relevent and adds something to the conversation, keep it short, tone should be appropriate as set by author, and don't set out to post solely with the intent to plug your own url. People who do this, sound like they are, and it's generally thought of as spam. Do not spam.
