As soon and I opened the Little Monogram Shop in 2003 I knew that I wanted to have a corresponding website. The hard part was finding the right person to do the job. I wanted the website to really reflect the charm and ambiance of my store – not just be a box for images.
I have a very strong sense of design. I knew exactly the feel I wanted the website to evoke – fun, colorful, someplace you would bookmark and come back to again and again. I originally hired a local company but their first presentation fell so miserable short that I gave up for over a year. But not completely…I knew there was someone out there who could transform my ideas into reality.
Whenever I had a spare moment at work I was googling things like “Cute website design” “Hip Website” “Cool website” “preppy website”, etc. Relentlessly following links and looking at different websites. Magically one day I stumbled upon the Notepolish website and I knew that I had found my web designer. I read all of Cathy’s information on her website www.cgonsa.com and started planning financially to start up. I initially contacted Cathy in January 07 and put myself on her queue that May. In October it was time to get working.
In the beginning I couldn’t imagine how she was going to accomplish my ideas into a website I would love – but I had total faith it would happen. Cathy was (and still is) incredible to work with. She has the entire process completely mapped out. With the information from her comprehensive questionnaire, photos of the store and lots of colors swatches back and forth, she absolutely nailed it. I was amazed that basically on her first presentation it was better than I had imagined and I wanted the whole world to see it.
Then the daunting process began (for me) of all the techno stuff. Cathy very patiently walked me through each level of activity from Domain hosting, SSLs, newsletter, etc. There’s no way I could have navigated through the process without her experience and tutelage.
Because of 4th quarter mayhem at the store, I haven’t launched yet. But with the quiet of January I’m busily adding images and text. Thank goodness Cathy is only an email away to readily answer questions as I continue to move forward.
I would recommend Cathy and her services to anyone who wants a truly unique, professional, one of a kind website that reflects their business identity 150%. I know that customers who visit the website will say “It’s just like the store” and already I’ve been getting raving review and positive feedback that just inspire me more.
